follow these simple instructions:

Press the ON/OFF key to power on the 725A. All LED’s will flash as the unit initializes. LED’s will turn on sequentially as the 725A auto zeroes. When the green LED above the ON/OFF switch flashes and a tick is heard the 725A is ready for use. Remove the sensor cap from the top of the 725A.

Trace gas lines, fittings, tanks, and containers for leaks. Once a leak above 40ppm is detected the 725A tick and green LED flash rate will increase. If the leak reaches 500ppm or above the red LED’s will illuminate accordingly (see below). To turn the 725A off, press and hold the ON/OFF key down for approximately 5 seconds.

In a clean air environment, press the ON/OFF key to turn the 725A on. All LED’s will flash as the unit initializes and auto zeroes. When the green LED above the ON/OFF switch flashes and a tick is heard the 725A is ready for use. Trace gas lines, fittings, tanks, and containers for leaks. Approach suspected leak areas with the sensor. When a leak above 40ppm is detected the 725A tick and green LED flash rate will increase.

When the tick rate increases press and release the ON/OFF key to nullify the tick and continue to approach the suspected leak area with the sensor. Continue to nullify the tick when the rate increases until the location of the leak is found. If the tick slows or stops on its own the concentration level has decreased. Move back in the opposite direction to find the leak again. Depending on the concentration of the leak the leak level LED’s will illuminate accordingly.

Cost Effective Solution
The TGR6000 is a low-cost RF signal generator with a maximum frequency of 6GHz. It is intended for CW (carrier wave) applications where modulation is not required, and avoids the costs associated with adding modulations.

Low phase noise is matched by low leakage, low residual FM and spurii. The internal timebase has a 1ppm stability, and an external frequency reference can be used for higher precision.

Flexible Sweep Modes
The TGR6000 incorporates an advanced stepped sweep system which allows both frequency and amplitude to be swept.

The sweep can be defined in terms of start and stop frequency/amplitude points with linear or logarithmic interpolation between them. The total number of points can be set from 2 to 1000 and the dwell time between points can be set from 10ms up to 10s.

Sweeps can be triggered manually, from an internal timer or from the remote interfaces. If required, each point within the sweep can be stepped via a trigger event rather than a fixed time.

In List Sweep mode, the sweep is defined by a table of up to 1000 frequency/
amplitude points which can be stepped between either by trigger events or by an individual dwell time for each point.

A state-of-the-art instrument
The function generator is one of the most versatile pieces of test & measurement instrumentation available.

It can generate a variety of precision waveshapes over a range of frequencies from mHz to MHz. It can provide a wide range of controlled amplitudes from a low-impedance source, and maintain constant amplitude as the frequency is varied.

Voltage control of frequency enables a source of swept frequency to be generated for frequency response testing. AM and FM modulation can also be added. The TG550 represent the state-of-the-art in 5MHz analogue function generators.

The TG4001 provides high purity sine waves at up to 40MHz and square waves at up to 50MHz. No other DDS generator offers this performance at this price.

The output amplifier has a bandwidth approaching 100MHz ensuring that waveform quality is excellent right up to the frequency limits.

Amplitude flatness is better than ±0.2dB to 1MHz and ±0.4db to 40MHz.
Low noise design ensures minimum waveform aberrations and provides high waveform quality even at minimum output amplitude.

High speed arbitrary waveforms

The Pro871 Underground Cable Locator is a value-priced underground locator for contractors and maintenance personnel. Incorporating 5 different tracking modes (2 direct connect, 2 inductive, 1 passive), the Pro871C tracks many types of cabling — including CATV, electrical, telephone, dog fencing and landscape lighting, using either null or peak reception modes.

The Pro871 also has the option of NULL or PEAK tracing. Simply put, NULL means that the signal nulls or stops when the receiver is directly over the cable. PEAK means the signal is loudest directly over the cable. The user should become familiar with this difference and select the response that best suits their preference.
