Electricians and technicians should also check their ground system periodically for predictive maintenance ensuring the resistance level doesn’t exceed the allowed safety level.

The GRT350 has a CATIV 300V safety rating. That means it’s designed for use with devices connected to raw voltage distribution lines and/or located outside (Pole Transformers, Service Drops, Overhead/Underground lines etc.). Maximum voltage rating of these devices shouldn’t exceed 300V.

The all new Shimpo DT-2100 is a highly advanced combination contact / non-contact hand-held tachometer. The DT-2100 offers data-logging, USB output and a programmable scaling feature to offset RPM according to application variables. It features a blue backlit LED Display with upper/lower limit icons and a unique X-Y Graphic mode. Additional display modes unique to the DT-2100 is the “Needle Sweep” and Bar Graph” offers the user a choice of how to view the data. The display can also be inverted to optimize the viewing angle. In non-contact mode the tachometer measures RPM up to 99,999 RPM at distances up to 13 feet or 500 cm. The DT-2100 can also measure contact RPM, surface speed, or length using the supplied screw-on adapter.

Data logging can be set for single point or continuous logging. Single data points as well as statistics (Max, Min, Average) can be stored in the built-in memory and recalled to the display. Often users need to adjust machinery during testing, with the DT-2100 you can mount it on a tripod, select continuous logging and adjust machinery as necessary. The Antenna Surge is designed to test for lightning strike to Antenna System Wiring as described in Para. 7.3.2. The waveform generated is in accordance with the instructions in Annex N, Table N.1, line 3. In accordance with these requirements, the Antenna Surge generates the waveform dictated by the noted circuit components at 10kV output voltage. Use with a general purpose oscilloscope for waveform capture. Configure with TestMinder for computer control and test report, and with Arc Detection for test failure detection.

The MegaPulse Antenna Surge provides 10kV output to perform tests noted in EN 60950, Para. 7.3.2. It also conducts the test in EN 60065, Para. 10.1. Built to output the exact pulse resulting from the circuit shown in EN 60950, Annex N, Figure N.2, using the circuit components from Table N.1, Line 3. The proprietary IEC 65 Switch is used. The output of this tester is specifically designed for testing in accordance with EN 60950, Annex N, Line 3. The 10kV Uc is shown on the front panel meter.

Options include TestMinder, which automatically applies the 50 pulses at a rate of 12 per minute, and a 4 megohm tap for special testing.

Before use, each person who is to use the Series 2 force gauge should be fully trained in appropriate operation and safety procedures.

Series 2 digital force gauges are designed for basic tension and compression force testing applications up to 500 lbF (2,500 N). Peak tension and compression readings are reliably captured via the gauges’ ±0.5% accuracy and 500 Hz sampling rate. A backlit graphic LCD displays the current, peak tension, or peak compression reading.
The gauges are overload protected to 150% of capacity. An ergonomic, reversible aluminum housing allows for hand held use or fixture mounting, rugged enough for applications in both production and laboratory environments. Series 2 gauges are directly compatible with Mark-10 test stands and grips.

Battery life is approximately 24 hours with the backlight on, or 92 hours with the bac klight off. To change the battery, loosen the two captive screws on the ba ck side of the housing and separate the two housing halves. A foam strip separates the battery from the PCB.

Ensure that the foam is positioned above the battery  when reassembling the housing. Exercise care when  reassembling the two halves of the housing, ensuri ng that internal wires do not interfere.
